Responsible Tourism

This module helps you gain a deep understanding of current dynamics in tourism development and tools to engage in its future elevation. During the course, you will learn how to articulate current challenges through the lens of responsible tourism, acquire the vocabulary and the tools to analyze those challenges and develop competencies to activate innovative approaches and solutions. This will take place through project work based within your own organisation or destination.

The module strengthens your knowledge and competencies in Responsible Tourism and destination development. Drawing on novel approaches focused on community, regeneration and broader value creation from across and beyond the Nordics, we center on how to design more responsible and resilient tourism futures. 

The course is organised around a set of main challenges in contemporary tourism development. During the course, you will be introduced to various theoretical approaches and hands-on methods and tools to address current issues and challenges around more responsible and sustainable tourism development.
