As of 1 July 2026, Aalborg University (AAU) will have a new external member of the university board with solid experience in technology, innovation, and collaboration between the business community and knowledge institutions.

Casper Hansen has established and built several technology companies with a focus on innovation and production technology. As founder and CEO, he is currently in charge of Technicon A/S in Hobro that develops robotic solutions for industry. The company is a recipient of the renowned ISPE Robotics of the Year Award, and has received Børsen's Gazelle Award five years in a row.

André Rogaczewski, Chair of the AAU Board is looking forward to working with Casper Hansen.

"With Casper Hansen, the university board will have a dedicated and insightful member with perspectives on education, research and entrepreneurship. I am certain that Casper will be instrumental in bringing AAU's new strategy to the finish line," says André Rogaczewski, Chair of the AAU Board.

Experience from both business and board work

In addition to his role as CEO of Technicon A/S, Casper Hansen has considerable experience serving on various boards. For example, he is chair of Odense Robotics and serves on the board of the Confederation of Danish Industry North Jutland. He was also a member of the SVM (Social Democrats, Liberal, Moderates) government's Digitalisation Partnership, where he worked on technology, digitalization and business development. This experience has given him broad insight into the agendas and collaborations that characterize the university's relationship with the wider world.

"For many years, Aalborg University has shown how strong research and education can be translated into innovation, growth and concrete solutions to society's challenges. I am therefore both humbled and proud to have the opportunity to serve on the university board. I look forward to sharing my experience from technology, international industry and developing growth companies," says Casper Hansen.

Farewell to a long-standing board member

Casper Hansen is appointed for a four-year period. He replaces the business profile of Lars Raadkjær Enevoldsen who steps down from the board at the end of June when his term expires. Lars Raadkjær Enevoldsen has been a member of the AAU board since 2018 and thus has served the maximum eight years allowed by the University Act.

André Rogaczewski extends his thanks to Lars Raadkjær Enevoldsen for his active commitment and valuable contribution to the work of the board over the years.
