In 2017, Mads Albertsen from the Department of Chemistry and Bioscience received a Villum Young Investigator grant. This allowed him to establish Albertsen Lab with the purpose of developing new methods and technologies to better monitor and understand microbial systems. During the COVID-19 pandemic, this work played a leading international role in building one of the most comprehensive programmes in the world to monitor coronavirus variants in Denmark. 

On April 21, Mads Albertsen will share his experience applying for and managing the Villum Young Investigator grant in a webinar organised by F&P. Future applicants for the programme are welcome and encouraged to attend, and will have the opportunity to ask questions.
