The AAU Plastics platform is delighted to invite researchers, as well as current and new partners from industry, to join the Future of Sustainable Plastics 2026 event at Aalborg University. This event aims to bring together academia and industry to address shared challenges and explore innovative solutions for a more sustainable future in plastics. A key focus will be on how academia can collaborate with industrial partners to tackle concrete challenges in the plastics sector, particularly in light of new EU regulations and directives.

Speaker: Christina Busk, Environmental Manager, The Danish Plastics Federation

Circular economy and the use of recycled plastic. What are the opportunities and which kind of challenges do the industry meet. How does the legislation impact the market and stimulate the possibilities and how does it work in practice. There will be specific exemptions from the Single-Use Plastics Directive and PPWR.
