Each year, AAU's main areas appoint a Teacher of the Year based on nominations from students, and the five winners were honoured at AAU's Annual Celebration 2026.

The Obel Family Foundation supports the importance of challenging, motivating teaching. Of the five Teachers of the Year, one receives the main award: The Obel Family Foundation's Teaching Award of DKK 50,000, while the other four each receive DKK 25,000.

This year's main award went to Sine Agergaard, Professor, Department of Health Science and Technology.

She received the award for her engaging teaching, her ability to combine expertise in research methods and health-related sociological areas with inspiring communication and commitment that motivates students.
