The world is right now more complex than for many, many years. Decision makers in business and politics have to deal with huge and accelerating challenges like security and climate change, at the same time as societies are struggling with increasing polarisation.

To adress these interwoven challenges of course we need technologies. And for us to understand e.g. global warming, the acidification of our oceans or the loss of biodiversity of course we need very much the natural sciences.

But when it comes to scaling solutions faster, we very much also need the input from the social sciences and the humanities: How to actually apply technologies? How to create the needed change without alienate parts of society? How to use AI to the benefit of people? How to understand better different cultures, religions and models for society? Language barriers? How to communicate without deepening the divisions in our societies?

There are so many pertinent and urgent questions where SSAH have crucial knowledge to offer.

The big question is:
How to be even better at bringing knowledge to play?

“There are so many pertinent and urgent questions where SSAH have crucial knowledge to offer.”
