AAU is Europe's best engineering university

For the sixth year in a row, Aalborg University (AAU) maintains its ranking as Europe's best, according to the Best Global Universities Rankings recently published by U.S. News & World Report.

The Best Global Universities Rankings are based on 12 indicators that measure universities on research results, international cooperation, and their global and regional reputation. On these indicators, AAU has for the sixth year in a row managed to be among the absolute world elite in engineering.

These impressive rankings testify to the university's highly skilled international research environments, strong partners and its unique teaching model based on solving real problems.

- Students and researchers at AAU work every day to produce research that can help solve the major global challenges. We can all be proud of that for the results resonate around the world. For the sixth year in a row, we can see that AAU's research environment is among the world elite in engineering, says Rector Per Michael Johansen.

In addition to the top ranking in Europe, AAU occupies a distinguished position worldwide where the university ranks No. 11 in the field. Additionally, for the fourth year in a row, AAU is among the world elite in 'Electrical and Electronic Engineering' where the university is also ranked as the best university in Europe and No. 5 in the world.

The Best Global Universities Rankings also rate the universities as a whole. Here, AAU is ranked No. 267 in the world out of a total of 2,000 universities.
