Based on existing evidence-based research, the AAU entrepreneurial team REDO - Neurosystems is in the process of developing a pain-relieving treatment for patients with chronic pain in muscles and joints. The team has developed a technology that can teach patients to respond less to the pain they experience. The technology can visualise patients’ pain-related brain activity on a screen in real time. Seeing how the actual experience of pain affects the brain activity makes it easier for the patients to work with their thoughts on what hurts and does not hurt.
