As a PhD student or researcher, you can either pursue a career inside or outside the university. Perhaps, you have a great research idea which can lead the way to building your own company and, thus, a new career path.

At this introductory course, you will be introduced to various important areas such as business development, funding opportunities, IPR and commercialization. The different disciplines can help you achieve insight in how to go from research to business and a career outside academia as an alternative to a career at the university. Some of the course content can also be directly applied to commercial funding grants, such as Innovation Fund Denmark, and improve the success rate of an application.

This introductory course will apply a special focus on The Faculty of Medicine at Aalborg University.

The course will be held physically at AAU SUND, Selma Lagerløfs Vej 249, 9260 Gistrup, meeting room 11.00.034.
