Invitation to Nordic Literary History Now workshop

Invitation to Nordic Literary History Now workshop

1st workshop, Aalborg 23-24 March 2017: New Approaches to Literary History. The workshop will be held in the Scandinavian languages and English.

Tidspunkt

23.03.2017 kl. 09.00 - 24.03.2017 kl. 17.00

Beskrivelse

Literary studies in the Nordic countries have been witness to an explosion of new approaches with more or less pronounced historiographical implications, including gender studies and geocriticism and place studies. While these approaches have already left substantial theoretical and methodological marks on the current writing of literary histories in the Nordic countries, one can detect an emerging scholarly interest in other approaches that very likely will have a similar effect. One of the most important of these is digital humanities, but approaches such as ecocriticism and affect studies also seem very promising in a historiographical context. The workshop languages will be Scandinavian and English.
