  You are invited to Stefano Parmeggiani's PhD defence of his thesis “Modelling and Testing of Wave Dragon Wave Energy Converter Towards Full Scale Deployment – Analysis of Overtopping Performance and Mooring Load Response” on May 24, 2013 at the Dept. of Civil Engineering.   Ikke-stedet i litteraturen, medierne og kulturen

  Livet i globaliseringens tidsalder afspiller sig i stigende grad på anonyme steder som lufthavne, hotelværelser eller indkøbscentre. Ifølge den franske antropolog Marc Augé er disse ”ikke-steder” (”non-lieux”) kendetegnende for den hypermoderne verden. I forhold til det traditionelle sted karakteriseres ikke-stederne af en mangel på historie, relation og identitet.

• Bogreception i anledning af Ann Charlotte Thorsteds nye bog ”Den Legende Organisation – når livet leger med os”, Tirsdag 28. maj 2013 kl. 14:30 - 16:00

  Bogen retter sig mod ledere, konsulenter, undervisere eller folk generelt, der bare har lyst til at få mere leg ind i hverdagen til understøttelse af læring, kreativitet, innovation, kommunikation og det gode arbejdsliv. Eftermiddagen indledes med en kort præsentation af bogen.

• Doktorforsvar ved lektor Jesper Kjeldskov Onsdag 29. maj 2013 kl. 13:00 - 17:00

  Det Teknisk-Naturvidenskabelige Fakultet ved Aalborg Universitet har, til forsvar for doktorgraden i naturvidenskab (dr.scient.), antaget en afhandling af lektor Jesper Kjeldskov.

• Doctoral Defence by Jesper Kjeldskov Onsdag 29. maj 2013 kl. 13:00 - 17:00

  The Faculty of Engineering and Science at Aalborg University has accepted the following dissertation of Associate Professor, Jesper Kjeldskov for defence in order to obtain the doctoral degree in science (dr.scient.):

  “Designing Mobile Interactions: The continual convergence of form and context”

• PARTICIPATION AND POWER - In participatory Research and Action Research 2013 Onsdag 5. juni 2013 kl. 11:00 - fredag 7. juni 2013 kl. 15:00

  The conference is an invitation to researchers and practitioners interested in participatory and action research. The purpose of the conference is to establish a forum for renewed reflections on the concept of participation in relation to power whether you work with organizational development projects in Scandinavia, participatory projects aiming at empowering marginalized groups in Latin America, social community projects in the UK etc. What are the challenges, dilemmas and tensions of participation, power, and democracy in participatory and action research projects? How are these dealt with theoretically and tackled practically?
